News & Information [GO BACK] Larry Miller had two paintings juried into the 2010 Illinois State Fair Professional Art Exhibition. The paintings will be on exhibit in the Artisan Building on the State Fairgrounds August 13 through August 22. The entries were juried by Brad Cushman, Gallery Director and Curator of Exhibitions at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. The PAG would like to invite everyone to attend the Childrens Workshop Reception on Saturday, June 26th from 1 pm to 2 pm. Each year the Guild provides art instruction to the children of the surrounding community. Laurel Adams is our instructor. Workshops are set up for different age groups and provide a vehicle for budding young artists to create and display their work. It is a very colorful and fun exhbit. We hope everyone can attend and support them. Jody Burns has been accepted into the Watercolor USA 2010 Exhibition at the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield MO. Juror is Richard Martin Ash III, Professor Emeritus of Art and Director of the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State Univeristy, Wichita Fall, Texas. Reception and awards ceremony is June 11, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30. June 12th the Exhibition opens and closes August 8th. Anita Jones won the Peoples' Choice Award at the Craword County Arts Spring Show with her painting, "Enchanted Ruins." Splash
11: New Directions, The Best of WatercolorThe Splash series showcases the finest watercolor paintings being created today. You will gain insight into methods of the best contemporary watercolor artists in the 11th edition of this top-selling series. Jody Burns is one of the artists featured in this new book by Rachel Rubin Wolf. It is available at North Light Shop. An exhibit of Paul Spangler's work opens at the North West Territory Art Guild Gallery located at 317 Main St. Vincennes, IN with a reception from 6pm to 8pm (ET) Friday, June 4th.
